Job summary

Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, IA is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a full-time night shift (8pm–6am, Mon–Thu). You will collect specimens, perform analytical tests, and report results using the Sunquest LIS, supporting patient care and laboratory operations.

Job Location: Stewart Memorial Community Hospital - Lake City - Lake City, IA 51449

FULLTIME POSITION (40 hours/week)

Night shift position: 8pm - 6am Monday through Thursday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As an MLT, you will collect blood from patients, perform various analytical tests, and report the results. Our patients and team members will count on you to perform tests needed to identify the necessary care and treatments needed.
• Use laboratory equipment and analyzers to complete many of the tests
• Accurately report results using Sunquest Lab Information System (LIS)
• Perform analyzer maintenance and quality control
• Draw inpatients' morning labs

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Medical Laboratory Technician degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• Previous hospital experience preferred, but will train
