Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide independent, patient-centered care on the 7PM–7AM shift. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients in collaboration with the care team.

BLS and RN license are required; ACLS is preferred. A BSN is preferred. One year of related nursing experience is recommended. You will document care, educate patients and families, and delegate as appropriate to support care delivery.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• BLS required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers.
