Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg). You will provide high-quality nursing care, coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and support patient recovery across a diverse adult population.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and patient progress within a culture of quality care, with a night shift and rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN license with Arkansas State Board of Nursing or Compact Multistate Licensure.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
• Strong communication skills; must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to work effectively under high-pressure and emergency conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Supervise and support LPNs, nursing aides, and nursing students.
• Orient new personnel to the unit and ensure compliance with hospital standards.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and update them daily.
• Administer medications, initiate IV therapy, and deliver life-saving interventions when needed.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families regarding care progress.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate with case managers, social workers, and home health personnel.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with institutional, legal, and professional standards.
• Remain prepared to respond to patient emergencies with professionalism and stability.
