Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center South in Tucson seeks an experienced nursing leader to serve as Associate Director of the Med/Surg South-Hospital unit. The role includes education, staffing, patient‑physician relations, and equipment coordination, with a 6:00PM–2:00AM night shift, Monday–Friday.

Lead a cohesive team, manage operations and budgets, and foster staff development to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a leading academic medical center known for health care

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for leadership roles.
• Requires RN license in state of practice and BLS.
• Two years of clinical management experience relevant to patient population.
• Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease and developmental disabilities in LTC settings (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provides managerial and clinical support to patients and staff.
• Leads and evaluates quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Manages unit operations, staff development, and resource utilization.
• Oversees budgets and coordination of equipment and capital resources.
• Develops leadership in entry-level nurse managers and mentors staff.
