Job summary

Flex Austin is seeking a Materials Lead to supervise shipping, receiving, and inventory activities in a 3rd shift operation in Austin, TX. You will lead a team, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely material flow to production.

The role requires at least 3 years of material-handling experience, strong clerical skills, and hands-on familiarity with warehouse tools such as forklifts and pallet jacks. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of material experience.
• Office and warehouse skills include typing, general clerical tasks and warehouse equipment.
• Good clerical and interpersonal skills; ability to present information to managers and customers.
• Ability to compute rates and interpret graphs; solve problems with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the activities of subordinates and reviews complex work procedures.
• Maintains accurate inventory records and completes necessary paperwork.
• Designs stockroom layout and oversees rearranging process.
• Counts and verifies incoming/outgoing items against documents.
• Oversees orders and materials issuance, documents transactions and costs.
• Monitors stock levels and assists in purchasing decisions within limits.
• Determines shipment methods and prepares bills of lading.
