Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Materials Technician or related role.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of basic computer skills experience.
• One year reading freight bills and bills of lading.
• One year communicating effectively at work.
• One year of basic math and inventory cycle counting.
• One year Hi-Lo driver experience.
• Must lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, focus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process material requests for projects and activities.
• Verify paperwork and purchase requests for procurement accuracy.
• Recheck quantities and condition of materials; certify invoices for payment.
• Prepare information and reports as required.
• Safely operate gas or electric forklift to move and stage materials.
• Lead forklift operators and supervise material handling.
• Maintain shipping/receiving records and ASN transmissions.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and audit FIFO adherence.
• Provide training to forklift operators and assist admin duties.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and carriers to maintain relationships.
• Record-keeping, file organization, and data entry into systems like TRANS4M/PLEX/CMMSIII.
