Job summary

PACS is hiring a part-time Licensed Vocational Nurse for the NOC shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) in California. The LVN will provide compassionate resident care, administer medications, supervise CNAs, and maintain safety and documentation during night hours.

The ideal candidate holds an active California LVN license, CPR certification, and a completed LVN program. PCC experience is a plus, and you will join a dedicated team focused on resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Current, active California LVN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduation from an approved LVN program.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, medication administration, documentation, and resident care standards.
• Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the nursing team.
• A dependable, compassionate, and resident-focused approach to care.
• PCC (PointClickCare) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate resident care: administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor residents’ conditions, respond to changes in health or behavior.
• Lead and support the nursing team: supervise CNAs, coordinate assignments, promote teamwork.
• Monitor resident safety: conduct routine rounds, ensure needs are met, follow care plans and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation: complete nursing notes, med records, incident reports, and other clinical records.
• Communicate effectively: relay shift reports and notify healthcare professionals of changes.
• Promote quality care: follow policies, infection prevention, and regulations.
• Support a positive environment: treat residents, families, and coworkers with dignity and respect.
