Job summary

Midland Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for PRN night shifts in Texas. The LVN will work under supervision to ensure patient safety, perform assessments, and support surgical team needs in inpatient or operating room settings.

The role requires an LVN license, completion of NRP and ACLS within 6 months, and strong knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques. Collaboration with RNs and physicians is essential to deliver safe care.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nursing license required.
• NRP and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to assess, project and plan for procedural needs.
• Expertise in sterile and aseptic technique.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessment and data interpretation.
• Synthesize data to identify problems and plan goals with primary RN.
• Initiate interventions within plan of care under legal/ethical parameters.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and plan follow-up care and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with primary RN to make appropriate decisions and coordinate procedural needs.
