Midland Memorial Hospital is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a PRN night shift. The LVN will work under supervision to ensure patient safety, participate in education, and support surgical care teams during invasive procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nursing license required.
• NRP and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to assess, project and plan for procedural needs.
• Expertise in sterile and aseptic technique.
• Knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures to assist invasive therapies.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive assessment and data interpretation.
• Synthesize data to identify problems and plan goals with the RN.
• Begin and deliver interventions within plan of care under supervision.
• Evaluate and report patient outcomes and adjust plan with benchmarks.
• Make appropriate decisions in collaboration with the primary RN.
• Assess, project and plan for procedural needs.
• Apply sterile and aseptic technique in all procedures.
• Support physician performance of safe patient outcomes using anatomy and surgical knowledge.
