Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies seeks an LPN for our Calhoun County Jail in Battle Creek, MI. The role supports nursing care for offenders on the night shift, with full-time and PRN options.

Expect to administer medications, monitor patients, document care, and participate in health promotion and restoration activities. The LPN must graduate from an accredited program, hold an active Michigan LPN license, and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
• Active CPR certification.
• Remains knowledgeable about state nurse practice acts and regulations.
• Completion of annual clinical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications to offenders.
• Monitor patients and report changes to medical staff.
• Document actions in MAR and medical records.
• Provide patient teaching on health promotion and restoration of health.
• Care for wounds with cleaning and dressing.
• Support multiple patients as directed by medical leadership.
