Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is seeking an LPN for the inpatient acute rehab unit in Grand Rapids, MI. The role focuses on direct nursing care for medically complex residents, medication administration, and coordinated care with RNs and physicians in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position offers a night shift, full-time schedule, and a benefits package. Ideal candidates have an active LPN license, CPR certification, and experience in geriatric care or long-term care environments.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in this state
• Must possess and maintain current CPR Certification.
• Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Must lead by example and possess superior customer service skills and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities.
• Administer medications and perform nursing duties per physician orders.
• Coordinate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support recovery and rehabilitation.
• Ensure accuracy of charting and documentation and maintain safety standards.
• Respond to resident needs and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
