Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Med-Surg assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The role includes bedside patient care, monitoring, IV therapy, and collaboration with RNs and physicians. A valid LPN/LVN license, IV/BW certifications, and current BLS are required. One year of Med-Surg experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN/LVN license required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 1 year of LPN Med Surg experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
