Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate RN or LPN to join our team at Walworth County Jail in Elkhorn, WI. This full-time night-shift position offers 12-hour rotations, every other weekend, and a nightly differential for eligible hours worked.

You will provide essential nursing care in a structured correctional setting, administer medications, and monitor patients closely. A WI license and CPR certification are required. Training is provided to help you thrive in this meaningful role.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Wisconsin RN or LPN license (or multistate license valid for WI).
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols.
• Perform nursing assessments and monitor patients for changes in health status.
• Respond to routine and urgent medical needs within your scope of practice.
• Support chronic disease management and continuity of patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare provider.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical, and correctional staff to support quality patient outcomes.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and professional healthcare environment.
