Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest in Oregon's Hillsboro area is seeking a registered nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit. The role involves clinical judgment to diagnose and treat maternal health concerns, assess patients, plan and coordinate care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

This is a part-time, night-shift, on-site position with a 36-hour work week and a temporary status. Requires BLS, NRP, and Oregon RN license within 3 months, plus WA compact option.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of labor and delivery or postpartum experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in Oregon within 3 months of hire (WA compact acceptable)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• Multistate licensure via compact license acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with the health care team.
• Accurately document in the EMR and administer medications per policy.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies as needed.
