Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Northside is seeking a Lab Assistant for the night shift in Columbus, Georgia. This role involves processing samples, performing exempt screening and monitoring tests, and drawing blood when required, in line with CMS CLIA '88 and OSHA standards.

The candidate will support technical staff, prepare specimens, and handle non-clinical lab tasks as part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to community care. Night shift flexibility is needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• No experience required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
