Job summary

Advance Services Inc. is hiring a dependable Janitor to support custodial operations within a Hastings school environment. The role focuses on maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for students, staff, and visitors.

Duties include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, offices and hallways; restock supplies; perform minor maintenance; lock buildings; and assist with seasonal tasks. Wage is $15.25-$16.25 per hour DOE, shift 3:30pm–Midnight.

Qualifications

• Experience in school custodial or janitorial duties preferred.
• Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Refill restroom supplies and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, reporting damages).
• Lock and secure buildings at the end of the shift.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and seasonal tasks as needed.
