Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services is seeking a Night Janitor in Austin, TX for a full-time night shift. The role involves general upkeep across interior spaces, offices, lobby areas and restrooms, as contracted or directed by a supervisor.

Primary duties include trash collection, floor care, dusting, disinfecting, and reporting any hazards or needed repairs. A High School diploma or GED and basic arithmetic skills are required to perform routine tasks safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas.
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area.
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

The Night Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

Shift Details

Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 11:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Physical Requirements

Required to spend on-the-job time on the following physical activities: Stand Walk Lift/Climb Talk/Hear Use hands to finger, handle or feel. Reach with hands or arms.

The Weight or Force requirement in this position is: Up to 40 pounds.
