Job summary

Mt. Graham Golf Course in Thatcher, AZ is seeking a Full-Time Irrigation Technician for night shift work on a quick coupler irrigation system.

The role focuses on maintaining irrigation components, identifying wet/dry areas, and performing winterization, with duties extending to repairs and daily logs. Ideal candidates hold a college/technical certificate or have 3–6 months of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on the irrigation system, including lake recirculation systems and water features.
• Identify wet and dry areas and adjust sprinkler heads as needed.
• Maintain inventory of irrigation parts and tools to minimize downtime.
• Operate, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including distribution lines, valve risers, electrical components, computers, and irrigation control wiring.
• Report major irrigation system breaks immediately and maintain a daily repair log.
• Prioritize irrigation repairs and manage time efficiently.
• Conduct monthly inspections of all sprinkler heads throughout the golf facility.
• Assist with winterization and blowout of the irrigation system, including water lines, valves, and pump stations.
