Position Overview

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at NYC Health and Hospitals Woodhull is seeking a BE/BC Night Intensivist for a full‑time or part‑time opportunity at Woodhull Medical Center. The role involves working in the ICU and Step‑down Unit, which has a combined bed capacity of up to 24 patients, and responding to overhead emergencies throughout the hospital. Academic involvement includes training and education of more than 60 categorical internal medicine residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensivist care in the ICU and Step‑down Unit.
  • Respond to overhead emergencies hospital‑wide.
  • Engage in resident training and educational activities.
  • Utilize bedside ultrasound (experience and/or certification a plus).
Qualifications
  • Board‑eligible or board‑certified (BE/BC) in Critical Care, Pulmonary, or Internal Medicine.
  • Experience with ICU and Step‑down care.
  • Ultrasound experience and/or certification (preferred).
Benefits
  • Annual base salary: $333,500; total compensation including bonus: $363,000.
  • 403B/457 participation with a 10% employer contribution.
  • Annual continuing medical education reimbursement of $3,000–$3,500, plus one week of paid CME time.
  • Projected annual revenue sharing up to $30,000 contingent on productivity and compliance metrics.
