UH Truman Medical Center is seeking an Overnight Pharmacy Technician for inpatient services. The role supports the daily medication distribution, IV compounding, repackaging, and coordination with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate dispensing and patient safety.

Candidates should hold a Missouri Pharmacy license, be PTCB-certified, and have experience with pharmacy systems. The position requires a high school diploma and physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy license.
• PTCB Certification or equivalent.
• Pharmaceutical terminology knowledge.
• Experience entering information into computers.
• Verbal communications skills.
• Typing skills.
• Prior pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily drug distribution system and dispense medications to patient care areas.
• Proficient in sterile and non-sterile IV compounding and repackaging.
• Ensure proper handling of controlled substances and use of pharmacy automation and EHR systems.
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist and promote safety and quality.
