General Healthcare Resources, Inc. is seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Scranton, PA. The role covers 10–14 night shifts per month, typically in 5–7 day stretches, starting Oct 12, 2026, for about 13 weeks with ongoing needs.

Candidate must have 1+ year ICU/critical care NP experience, PA license eligible for PA, BLS, and credentialing readiness. Responsibilities include bedside procedures, line placement, and 24/7 patient management.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of NP experience in critical care or acute-care setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Credentialing process may take ~90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments and triage critically ill patients.
• Manage overnight shifts in Level II trauma setting.
• Place central and arterial lines as needed.
• Monitor labs and procedures; discuss findings with physician.
• Coordinate treatment plans with the care team.
