Job summary

PM Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Fairfield Inn by Marriott on 5th Ave in New York, NY. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance with a focus on minimizing downtime in a busy hotel environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of trade-related training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry or building maintenance. Basic hand and power tools knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and minimum one year of trade-related training.
• Experience or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry or building maintenance.
• Basic hand and power tools knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to electrical, plumbing, heating, AC and refrigeration equipment with minimal downtime.
• Install and replace light fixtures and bulbs.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and repair malfunctions.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Secure the building and monitor security systems; maintain keys.
