Job summary

BJC HealthCare seeks a Physician Assistant (Hospitalist) for nocturnist coverage at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital. The role operates on a 7on/7off schedule, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with independent patient care under physician collaboration.

Training and development are emphasized within a safety-sensitive hospital environment. The candidate will collaborate with hospitalists to diagnose and manage inpatient care, participate in care coordination, and follow established protocols

Qualifications

• PA education: Bachelor-PA Program or Master-PA.
• Experience: less than 2 years.
• License: Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development.
• Manages patient care with advanced assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation in collaboration with a physician.
• Coordinates patient care and referrals in a physician-led team.
• Develops treatment plans and treats acute illnesses or minor injuries following established protocols.
• Safety-sensitive position as determined by the organization.
