Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for inpatient care at Memorial Hospital Belleville and Shiloh. The role operates on a 7on/7off schedule (days, 7a-7p) with a blend of rounding and admitting responsibilities in an adult patient population.

The position requires a Master's degree and valid NP/PA certification; experience <2 years preferred; Doctorate education preferred by the organization. A collaborative practice agreement with a physician guides daily care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Experience <2 years.
• Nurse Practitioner and RN licenses/certifications required.
• Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development
• Manages health care of patient populations with advanced assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation in collaboration with a physician.
• Coordinates the care of patient populations with a physician, to educate patients and families and arrange referrals.
• Develops treatment plans and treats patients with acute problems following a predefined protocol with physician collaboration.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.
