Washington Regional is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our Hospitalist team in Fayetteville, AR. This full-time night-shift position collaborates with physicians and APPs to manage inpatient care, including exams, diagnostics, and treatment planning.

The ideal candidate is an APRN with NP licensure, CPR, and national certification, plus at least 3 years’ acute care nursing experience. Apply to join a respected community hospital system in Northwest Arkansas.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Licensure and Certifications: Nurse Practitioner License and CPR, required. National certification, required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a previous acute care clinical nursing role, required.

Responsabilités

• Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses.
• Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory tests.
• Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary.
• Prescribe and dispense medications.
• Document medical information of patients and maintain electronic medical records.
• Educate, instruct, and counsel patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care, and encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviors.
• Request consultation or referral with other health care providers, such as physicians and clinics.
• Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends, and support research projects.
