Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide supplemental hospitalist coverage during nights. The role may involve inpatient and outpatient care, referrals, rounds, notes, discharge summaries, procedures, and clinic documentation under supervision of the Medical Director and APP Manager.

Candidates must hold PA or NP licensure, DEA, BLS within 6 months, and have at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed PA or NP with valid nursing licensure.
• 1 year clinical experience as PA/NP required.
• DEA registration required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and/or outpatient hospitalist coverage during night shifts.
• Complete referrals, daily rounds, notes, discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate with physicians and APP Manager to maximize patient care.
• Educate PA/NP/CNM students during clinical rotations.
