Job summary

Penn State Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Night Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join its Hospital Medicine team. This role is open to Acute Care Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants and will operate 7 p.m.

to 7 a.m., providing overnight coverage for acute and chronically ill adults. Responsibilities include patient assessments, ordering and interpreting tests, managing admissions and discharges, and responding to cross-cover calls while collaborating with a

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or higher licensure in PA.
• National Certification (PA-C) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight coverage from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for hospital medicine patients.
• Perform patient assessments and order/interpret diagnostic studies.
• Manage admissions and discharges and respond to cross-cover calls.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
