Job summary

The Hospital Medicine Department at MUSC Health – Catawba in Lancaster, SC is seeking skilled Acute Care trained Advanced Practice Providers to deliver adult inpatient care. This full-time role offers a 7-on/7-off schedule with a 5pm–5am shift, collaborating with the nocturnist on admissions and cross-coverage.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program, board certified (AANP/ANCC/NCCPA), and hold an SC license, with hospital or emergency medicine experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Board certified (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
• Active or eligible South Carolina license.
• Experience in hospital medicine or emergency medicine preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation.
• Works with Nocturnist, mainly on admissions and cross coverage.
• Coordinate discharges, follow-up care, and patient education.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Potential to precept MUSC advanced practice provider students.
