Job summary

MUSC Health - Chester Medical Center seeks Acute Care trained Advanced Practice Providers to deliver in-patient care for adults. The role collaborates with hospitalists on admissions, discharges, and patient education within a supportive, team-based setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Board certified (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
• Active or eligible South Carolina license.
• Experience in hospital medicine or emergency medicine preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation.
• Works with Hospitalists, mainly on admissions and cross coverage.
• Coordinate discharges, follow-up care, and patient education.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Potential to precept students at MUSC enrolled as an advanced practice provider student.
