Job summary

Corewell Health's Environmental Services team at Grosse Pointe Hospital is seeking an Environmental Service Technician who will clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas, stock supplies, and help maintain floors, carpets and upholstery. You'll be trained fully and can grow your career while delivering safe, high-quality care.

This part-time night shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.), 20 hours per week, requires teamwork and reliable follow-through.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow instructions
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Public service and or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial experience

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting and stocking of patient rooms, offices and ancillary areas according to established procedures.
• Removal and disposal of linens and waste streams.
• Maintains floors, carpets and upholstery and performs interim/restorative cleaning as needed.
• Assembles, maintains and stores equipment/supplies required to complete tasks.
• Communicates and collaborates with team members to ensure continuity of services.
• Assists visitors and employees in navigating the hospital.
• May work across department sites for coverage.
• Participates in safety initiatives and completes required safety competencies.
