HopeWest’s Hospice Registered Nurse – Nights in Montrose, CO offers a life-changing opportunity to deliver relationship-based care to patients in homes, nursing facilities, and community settings. You’ll join an interdisciplinary team with autonomy and compassionate leadership.

This role requires 1–2 years of nursing experience, Colorado RN license, CPR, and strong communication skills. Expect ongoing education, EHR and MS Office proficiency, and a supportive benefits package including sign-on

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in home health, hospice, or acute care strongly preferred.
• Current Colorado RN license maintained throughout employment.
• Current CPR certification maintained throughout employment.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to navigate emotional or high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion.
• Experience with EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide relationship-based care to patients and families.
• Teach patients to identify personal goals of care and support caregivers.
• Specialize in symptom management with excellence in assessment and critical thinking.
• Care wherever patients call home: private homes, nursing homes, group homes, or assisted living facilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and support families through care planning.
• Contribute to life-changing experiences by delivering compassionate care and guidance.
