Job summary

ShopRite of Vails Gate in Vails Gate, NY, is seeking a Night Crew Clerk to unload deliveries, stock shelves, and maintain a clean department. You will support customer service, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The role requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, ability to stand for long periods, and strong English communication. Prior retail experience is a plus; training programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Basic math and numerical accuracy required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work well with others and meet attendance policies.
• Must be 18+ to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload and securely store received product in proper areas.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized department.
• Restock, price, and rotate merchandise following procedures.
• Operate a baler or compactor and use a handheld terminal as needed.
• Ensure safety and QA standards in daily tasks.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service while observing policies.
