Job summary

Kroger is seeking an in-store department associate in Kentucky. You will create an outstanding customer experience, maintain a safe and clean environment, and assist the department manager in reaching sales goals. You will answer questions, stock merchandise, check freshness, and uphold safety guidelines while promoting the Customer 1st approach.

Strong communication and ability to handle stressful situations are required; any retail experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Greet customers and respond to inquiries with product knowledge and recommendations.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness; review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products they ordered.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Adhere to safety procedures and food safety regulations.
