Job summary

Camden County College is hiring a Government Services Officer for the overnight shift. The role works at a Camden County Government location, not on CCC campuses, and involves greeting the public, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED with preferred Associate’s in Criminal Justice, plus CPR/NARCAN/First Aid certification or ability to obtain during probation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice is preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in the Public Safety field, emergency services or military service preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with others, both verbally and in writing.
• Certification in CPR, NARCAN and First Aid, or ability to obtain certification during probationary period.
• Proficient in computer skills relevant to report writing and information exchange including Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct the public and provide assistance at assigned site.
• Monitor designated sites and ensure order, safety and security.
• Conduct access control screening, investigations, and building searches as needed.
• Render first aid or medical assistance as directed by professionals.
• Respond to calls for service and critical incidents to support staff and emergency personnel.
• Follow supervisor directions and provide friendly, professional service.
• Ensure a standard of superior customer service at all times.
