Job summary

IMEX is seeking a Gate Clerk to control access to intermodal facilities and provide clerical support through inspection of intermodal containers. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and overnight hours.

The position involves inspecting inbound and outbound units, updating transaction details, and ensuring safety and policy compliance. Training is provided; weekend days off are available, with the potential for additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections on inbound and outbound intermodal units using a gate system or handheld device.
• Uses Windows programs for transaction details and corrections.
• Tracks and updates system issues and problems.
• Notes trailer, chassis or container conditions after inspection.
• Controls access onto facilities.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly; maintains equipment.
• Follows safety and quality procedures; flexible availability.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
