Job summary

Gordon Food Service is recruiting for a Freight Handler on the Receiving Team at our Brighton, MI Distribution Center. Starting pay is $19.60/hour plus a $1.00 shift premium, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits from day one. Shift is Sunday through Thursday, 9:30 PM onward with some variation based on volume.

No experience is required—training will be provided. You must be at least 18, able to work holidays and weekends, and pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets from trailers and break down product for the correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensuring damaged product is not received.
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets and accuracy of pallet configurations.
