Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler in Rochelle, IL. The role involves operating electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts in a clean, safety-focused warehouse.

Expect weekly pay, benefits, and paid training as you support typical distribution tasks across the U.S. Typical duties include picking, packing, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and paperwork management, with a schedule Monday–Friday from 5:30 pm to 4:00 am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing systems during production shift hours.
• Other duties as assigned.
