Job summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking a diligent Forklift Operator to safely operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment in our production and shipping areas. You will load outbound trailers, unload inbound deliveries, and ensure accurate counting and labeling in support of the shipping schedule.

You will perform routine inspections, maintain a clean and safe dock environment, and follow food safety, GMP, HACCP, and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• Operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts and other powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations, food safety, GMP, HACCP and quality policies at all times.
• Communicate effectively with Shipping Supervisor, Clerks, and drivers regarding shipment status and staging needs.

Responsibilities

• Load outbound trailers accurately according to BOLs and load plans.
• Unload inbound deliveries and transport materials to storage areas per FIFO and Materials Manager directions.
• Stage finished goods for outbound shipment and ensure proper labeling and readiness for loading.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift forklift inspections and report equipment concerns to the Shipping Supervisor.
• Maintain dock and staging area cleanliness and safety, ensuring aisles and dock doors are clear.
