Job summary

California Sierra Express Inc. in Compton, CA is seeking a dependable Night Shift Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to receive inbound freight and build outbound linehaul loads nightly.

You will work with various freight sizes using a sit-down forklift to load 53' dry van trailers, verify paperwork, reweigh and label cargo, and ensure accurate manifests before departure. The role includes a Monday–Friday evening schedule with benefits and a stable work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Experience loading 53' trailers strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, load, and unload freight.
• Receive freight delivered to our dock by outside carriers; verify shipment paperwork and cargo condition.
• Label cargo correctly for outbound movement and reweigh freight to ensure accuracy of dims and weight.
• Load outbound 53' trailers high and tight to maximize trailer space and protect freight.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock and warehouse; complete nightly closeout procedures.
