Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Iowa City is hiring for a Forklift Driver-3rd shift. You will operate a forklift and supporting equipment to perform receiving, put-away, order picking, and shipping duties that keep daily logistics running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months in a logistics environment, the ability to operate MHE, and a current forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience in a logistics/distribution environment.
• Able to operate material handling equipment (MHE).
• Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Receiving/Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations; input data into WMS.
• Order Picking: Pull and prepare for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and type.
• Quality: Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged; report variances.
• Delivery: Move product from staging to production lines; ensure proper documentation accompanies freight.
• Inventory: Keep records, assist in physical inventories, ensure stock rotation.
• Safety, housekeeping and compliance: Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with SOPs.
