Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Night Forklift Operator at the Cookeville facility. You will operate a powered industrial forklift to move, lift, and stock products on the sales floor during night and day shifts, following safety protocols.

The role requires OSHA forklift certification, VoxWare command understanding, and basic math and reading/writing skills. Compensation ranges from $17.51 to $19.76 per hour plus overtime.

Responsibilities

• Transport pallet loads from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered equipment.
• Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain night shift inventory.

• Record all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
• Maintain clean aisles by removing debris from floor and racks.
• Follow all safety policies and practices.

Job description

Night Forklift Operator

Position overview: Operate an industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments on the sales floor, including lifting, transporting, and stocking during night and day shifts at the Cookeville facility.

Basic purpose: Operate the forklift/high‑lift to lower stock to ground‑level pick‑slot positions from higher‑level reserve slots during both night and day shifts, and to place received stock into higher‑level storage slots using safe operating practices.

Schedule

Sunday – Thursday, 3:30 pm to completion (night shift).

Hourly Rate

Compensation ranges between $17.51 – $19.76 per hour, plus overtime, based on experience and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport pallet loads of product from dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment.
• Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night‑shift selection.
• Perform operations and safety checks (battery, brakes, lift controls, fire extinguisher).
• Record all product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
• Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing debris from floor and racks.
• Follow all safety policies and practices.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Must be able to understand VoxWare commands.
• OSHA‑compliant forklift certification required.

Preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior selector experience.
• Prior forklift operator experience.
