UFP Industries in Minnesota is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, and to maintain accurate paperwork and records according to the production schedule.

The role involves loading, wrapping, labeling, and transporting goods, assisting with bottlenecks, and performing routine equipment checks. Eligible applicants must be 18+, with forklift licensing and basic math skills; experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; forklift driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and complete forklift licensing process.

Responsabilités

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods from production to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Keep inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules per company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

Forklift Operator I is responsible for the movement of material from inventory to production and back to inventory. Maintains correct paperwork and production records as required. Provides production departments with material from inventory according to production schedule.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Moves material in process from one station to another if necessary
• Bands, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels material
• Moves finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean
• Completes production records as required
• Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education, High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required however, forklift driving experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Hourly/Salary Pay Range:

$21/hour with $2/hour shift differential

*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living/experience

Bonus/Incentive Pay

For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
