Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia seeks a Night Float Anesthesiologist for Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL. The role involves coverage of 7pm–7am with a 26-on/26-off schedule and a broad case mix including General, Endo, Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, GYN, Urology, Radiology, and ENT.

Qualifications include MD/DO, ECFMG/FLEX, completed anesthesia residency, and current medical licensure. The group emphasizes compassionate care and patient safety in a high-volume, trauma-capable hospital

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ECFMG and FLEX certification.
• Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia.
• Currently licensed physician.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures.
• Pre‑anesthesia assessment.
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent; discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition.
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed.
