Job summary

AWT seeks a Night shift Press Operator in South Elgin, IL. You will set up, operate and clean flexographic printing and converting presses to meet customer specifications while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include following ISO SOPs, managing colors and registration, ensuring proper paperwork, and minimizing waste. Requires 3+ years flexo press experience and good English communication; 12-hour nights with a 6:00 pm–6:00 am schedule and $1.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand and speak English.
• Ability to read and understand task at hand (job ticket).
• Good working knowledge of ink and pH/viscosity levels.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate and clean-up flexographic printing and converting presses to meet customer specs.
• Ensure colors and registration per specifications within tolerance.
• Maintain paperwork accuracy and press readiness from setup through cleanup.
• Follow ISO SOPs and daily press schedule.
• Spot and mark good/bad product; minimize waste.
• Plan changeovers and maintain cleanliness of press area.
