Job summary

EFP, LLC. in Decatur, Alabama is hiring a Packer for 2nd and 3rd shifts to unload machine tables, inspect quality, and package products per instructions. The role supports 5S practices and ensures containers are labeled and counts are accurate.

Responsibilities include performing quality checks, maintaining clean work areas, and communicating with leadership at shift start and end. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; the job requires lifting up to 35 pounds and long periods of standing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math skills including counting, adding, and subtracting.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble parts.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend and stoop.

Responsibilities

• Performing production processes in accordance with established work instructions, while meeting required quality standards and efficiencies.
• Loading/unloading material from machine tables.
• Performing first piece inspections and logging scrap.
• Inspecting parts for quality issues such as fill, fusion, post expansion, etc.
• Identifying proper packaging containers and ensure packaged containers are properly labeled.
• Maintaining accurate counts per container.
• Packing products on flats and in boxes.
• Performing and documenting quality checks.
• Maintaining and improving 5S activities, keeping work areas clean, orderly, and safe for all team members.
• Communicating with leadership at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Working in a safe manner.
• Performing other duties as assigned
