Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a PRN Concierge to greet visitors, manage phone lines, and assist residents and staff across shifts. You will support safety, security, and hospitality services while coordinating with marketing, HR, and maintenance teams.

The role requires friendly customer service, basic computer skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information. The position is on-site and shifts vary to cover 3–11pm and 11pm–7am.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience meeting the public and answering phones.
• Experience assisting older adults preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer word processing and email tools.

Responsibilities

• Answers and directs telephone calls to residents and departments in a friendly, timely manner.
• Monitors fire alarm system and notifies appropriate personnel and authorities.
• Coordinates emergency responses with RSA, EMS, and maintenance staff when needed.
• Screens visitors in the lobby and maintains security by controlling access.
• Monitors CCTV for identity verification and notifies RSA of suspicious activity.
• Provides greeter service at the Hospitality Desk and directs visitors.
• Supports marketing, HR, and volunteer programs by handling inquiries and forms.
• Manages daily post/parcel services and assists with guest room reservations and events.
• Coordinates maintenance work orders, game equipment usage, and pool/fitness access.
