Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Night Shift Patient Transport role to support safe and efficient movement of patients and belongings within the Medical Center. You will use patient tracking software and collaborate with licensed personnel to ensure courteous, professional, and family-centered care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least 2 years in healthcare or a customer service setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• All certifications listed are required upon hire (e.g., BLS).
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and efficiently within the Medical Center.
• Assist with transport of medications, blood products, and specimens as directed.
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff and patients/families about transport tasks and timings.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of transport equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to body mechanics, safety protocols, and hospital transport procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with Wellstar Health System policies.
