Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking a Night Shift, full-time ER Charge Registered Nurse to oversee shift management and ensure quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

The role requires supervising clinical staff, mentoring nurses, and coordinating with the Nurse Manager to meet unit needs while ensuring adherence to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS certification for unit.
• 2-year nursing degree; 4-year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical staff, assign patients, and provide direct patient care when needed.
• Serve as liaison with the Nurse Manager and House Supervisor to communicate major occurrences and unit needs.
• Mentor new staff, participate in performance evaluations, and support team development.
• Assess patient and family needs, develop and adjust care plans, and delegate responsibilities to optimize outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and maintain high standards of care.
