Job summary

East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, GA is looking for an EMT I to provide basic emergency medical care and transport during night shifts. You will work under the supervision of a Paramedic or clinical lead in our EMS department.

This full-time role requires completion of a state-approved EMT program; an EMT Advanced certificate is a plus. You'll maintain equipment, document care in the EMR, and collaborate with paramedics, nurses, and physicians to ensure patient safety and

Qualifications

EMT training program completion required
EMT Advanced certificate preferred
Experience in hospital ED, ambulance, or critical care transport preferred

Responsibilities

Provide basic emergency medical care per scope and policies.
Assist with patient assessment and vital signs under supervision.
Administer CPR, bandaging, bleeding control, immobilization, and breathing support.
Operate emergency vehicles safely per policy and law.
Conduct vehicle and equipment checks at shift start.
Maintain and restock equipment and supplies.
Follow PPE and infection control procedures.
Document patient information accurately in EMR.
Escalate patient or operational concerns through chain of command.
Collaborate with paramedics, nurses and physicians during handoffs.
