Job summary

McLaren Emergency Services-Cheboygan is seeking a dedicated nursing aide to support patient-centered care during night shifts. You will perform delegated tasks under RN supervision, ensuring safe, compassionate care for patients while maintaining a clean, organized environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and BLS certification within 30 days, with prior direct care experience preferred and a CENA training background. Full-time nights, weekends included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire (AHA/ARC/Canadian equivalent).
• CENA training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene (bathing, feeding, dressing, mobility).
• Ensures compliance with health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by infection-control and waste policies.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.
